Creating a film that captures the essence of who you are and all you have to offer can seem like a daunting task. Here’s why it’s not.
I am a big picture kind of person. Give me a general overview and I’m good to go. I won’t get caught up in the details, because we'll cross that bridge when we get there, right? Don’t worry, my fanatically detail-oriented husband will be doing most of the planning and editing around here, not me. In case, like me, you’re more interested in the bottom line, I’ll make this quick: We have a streamlined process to work with you and take the guesswork out of creating a film. But, supposing it’s not something you’ve done before, the whole task of making your story come to life in a video seems so large. If you’re up for a more detailed description, read on.
It all starts with you. First, you recognize your audience would benefit from more connection with you and your brand. You realize that can be done seamlessly through a film and you found us. Heck yeah! Once you reach out and express interest in a video, we’ll want to talk. This can be done over the phone or a zoom call, or we enjoy meeting in person if you're near our neck of the woods.
The first time we talk, we’ll ask about your goals for a video. For instance, do you need a brand story filmed? New product dropping? Want to take your digital advertising to the next level? We’ll answer any questions you have and let you know about our availability. Since we have a high standard of quality and good work takes time, the sooner you can predict your video needs and reach out, the better.
Once we hang up, we will get to work brainstorming and drawing up a proposal for your video. If you think we can help make your vision come to life, we’ll then start story-boarding your film, scene by scene. We like this creative process to be heavily influenced by your ideas and personality, but don’t worry if you’re not sure exactly what you want it to look like - we can help with that. This is also the point we’ll nail down dates, location, and your investment. If you want to be involved in the preparations, we can bounce ideas back and forth until we’ve laid out a solid plan for the day of filming.
At Forged, we value your time and ours. We appreciate you taking a day (or days) to film with us, and will want to make sure you know what to expect when we arrive so that our time together will be the most fun and productive. Being around cameras, microphones, lights and gear makes some people uncomfortable, and we get it. After all, there’s a reason we stay behind the camera. That’s why we’re sure to keep it low pressure and most of the time, our clients say we make them forget there’s a camera pointed their way at all.
Editing & Delivery
Next, we’ll keep in touch throughout the entire editing process. When we are getting close to a final cut we’re proud of, we’ll send the video your way for approval. Once the video has been perfected, we deliver the final products digitally and organized in the various formats to suit your needs. We’ll make sure you can use the video in its highest quality however you wish.
